Parker Bridwell, a Hereford native, helped the Los Angeles Angels push past a potential elimination from playoff contention, last night, in a 9-3 win over the Chicago White Sox.
The Angels, who are currently fighting to keep their playoff hopes alive, were led to a victory by the rookie Bridwell. Bridwell pitched nearly seven innings in the game, striking out one batter and holding an ERA of 3.87 in his victory over Chicago.
Bridwell's victory means that the Angels are still currently in the running for the American League Wild Card spot. The Hereford native's overall record has now improved to 9-3.
