Hereford-native Parker Bridwell led the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim to a victory over the Texas Rangers on Saturday night.
In a game at Anaheim, Bridwell started the game for the Angels and pitched dominantly as Los Angeles picked up a 2-0 shutout over Texas. Bridwell pitched six innings and relief pitcher Yusmeiro Petit picked up the save.
Texas starter Cole Hamels took the loss for the game.
Bridwell's season record now moves to 8-2.
