The Amarillo Police Department is reporting that an early morning motorcycle accident has landed one person in the local hospital.
According to APD, officers were dispatched on Thursday morning to Southwest 11th Avenue and Broadmoor Street on the report of a motorcycle accident. When officers arrived, they found Marc Dreyer, 22, had lost control of a motorcycle, landed it on its side and slid into a retaining wall.
Dreyer was taken to the local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Speed in believed to be a factor in the collision. Dreyer was not wearing a helmet.
APD is currently investigating the incident.
