Senator Kel Seliger (R-Amarillo) and Representative Four Price (R-Amarillo) have picked up the support of a statewide Republican organization in their bids for re-election.
Mailers targeted to voters in Amarillo and the surrounding areas have hit mailboxes supporting Price and Seliger. The mailers give voters contact information for both elected officials and say that the candidates are "Getting conservative results." The mailers also tell voters that Price and Seliger "stand up to special interest groups."
According to political disclosures, the mailers are being sent to Amarillo voters by Associated Republicans of Texas Campaign Fund.
The mailers represent the second batch of support that the elected officials have received in recent weeks. Last month, Amarillo Matters endorsed both candidates and has spent money boosting Facebook posts supporting the incumbents.
Seliger is facing former Midland mayor Mike Canon and Amarillo restaurant owner Victor Leal for the Republican nomination. Meanwhile, Price is facing Fritch city manager Drew Brassfield.
The Republican primary election will be held on March 6th.
