Amarillo Jewelry Store to Close

Duncan and Boyd Jewelers in downtown Amarillo is closing its doors.

According to information released today, company owner Ron Boyd says he has decided to close his store after long "prayer and deliberation." Boyd wrote in a Facebook post that his decision to close the long-time jewelry shop due to his wish to retire.

"After much prayer and deliberation, Cheri and I have decided to retire and close our store, Duncan & Boyd Jewelers," Boyd said on Facebook. The decision to close has been a very emotional and hard one, but there is a time and season for everything. We have been blessed by our friends who have been customers and by many customers who have become friends. We are very thankful and grateful for all of you."

Boyd said that beginning on Monday, February 5th, all inventory in the store will be discounted up to 70 percent off. A special "sneak preview" will be held February 1st and February 3rd at the store, ahead of the public's chance to purchase. During these three days, customers will receive an extra 10 percent off.
