A longtime local jewelry store is set to close its doors for good.

According to the company’s website, Barnes Jewelry will soon be closing and is hosting a going-out-of-business sale. The decision to close comes as the store’s owner, Don Adams, has made the decision to retire.

An ad for the sale on the company’s website says the store’s inventory will be liquidated, with some items being priced 50-75% off.

Barnes Jewelry has been an Amarillo staple since its founding in 1956. The store offers a wide assortment of diamonds, fine jewelry, watches, rings, and more.
