Amarillo City Councilwoman Freda Powell and Amarillo College regent Patrick Miller are kicking off a special Black History Month story time series at the North Branch Amarillo Public Library.
Beginning on February 3rd, the Amarillo Public Library will begin hosting a special story time every Saturday in February to commemorate Black History Month. Each week at 2pm, members of Amarillo's African-American community are being invited to lead the story time.
For the first week, Powell and Miller have been invited to lead the story time at the North Branch Library (1500 Northeast 24th Avenue).
Adults and children of all ages are invited.
