One suspect has been arrested in a bank robbery that took place on Monday.
Amarillo Police report that on Monday, January 8th, officers were dispatched to Citizen's Bank (4117 South Georgia) on the report of a possible robbery. A caller told officers that a black female had entered the Citizen's Bank and told employees that she was robbing the bank. The suspect did not have a weapon and was not given any money.
The caller said the suspect left the bank in a green Toyota car going north on Georgia Street. The caller was able to give officers the license plate number on the vehicle.
Officers found the suspect driving north on Georgia and stopped her at Southwest 10th Avenue and South Georgia. The suspect, Lashondra Deniece Sandoval-Martin, 32, was taken into custody. She was booked into the Randall County Jail on charges of robbery and possession of drug paraphernalia.
No employees were injured during the incident.
