O'Rourke Raises $38 Million During Third Quarter

Senator Ted Cruz’s Democratic challenger reported a major campaign haul this week.

On Friday, the Beto O’Rourke campaign announced it had raised $38.1 million during the third finance quarter. The haul comes as the race is nearing its conclusion, with the El Paso Democrat looking to oust the incumbent Republican Cruz.

“The people of Texas in all 254 counties are proving that when we reject PACs and come together not as Republicans or Democrats but as Texans and Americans, there’s no stopping us,” O’Rourke said in a campaign press release on Friday. “This is a historic campaign of people: all people, all the time, everywhere, every single day -- that’s how we’re going to win this election and do something incredible for Texas and our country at this critical moment.”

Meanwhile, Cruz’s campaign announced it had raised $12 million during the third quarter. Full numbers are not yet available for Libertarian Neal Dikeman’s campaign haul during this period.

Voters will decide this election in November.
