APD Investigating Shooting on Teckla Boulevard

Amarillo Police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred in the 3400 block of Teckla Boulevard this weekend.

According to APD, officers were called to Teckla on Sunday morning on the report of a shooting. A 31-year-old female and a 40-year-old male were inside of a residence. Authorities say an individual opened a window from the outside of the residence and shot the male in the upper body. This individual then entered the residence and began choking the female. The male victim left our the front of the residence and was shot again in the upper body.

The male victim suffered what is believed to be life-threatening injuries, and was transported to an area hospital. The female victim did not require medical attention.

Authorities have obtained warrants for Burglary of a Habitation and Aggravated Assault With a Deadly Weapon for a suspect.
