Former Railroad Commission Candidate to Speak at NAACP Banquet

A former Democratic candidate for Railroad Commissioner will speak at a banquet this week.

On Saturday, November 3rd, Steve Brown will speak at the NAACP Banquet at the Amarillo Civic Center. Brown, this year’s keynote speaker, was the Democratic Party’s nominee for Railroad Commissioner in 2014, winning 36 percent of the vote. Brown is also the CEO of Capital Assets Sustainable Energy Development LLC and is a former U.S. Congressional candidate.

This year’s banquet also holds special meaning to attendees, as this banquet comes as the Amarillo Branch NAACP celebrates 75 years in the community.

For information on sponsorships or how to attend the banquet, you are asked to call (806) 290-8705 or (806) 367-7818.
