Three Arrested, Items Recovered from Auto Burglaries

"On February 4th at 8:09 AM, an APD officer was dispatched to the 3300 block of Burruss Place on an auto burglary.

The victim had an IPad stolen out of their vehicle. The victim was able to ping the IPad using the Find My Phone App and it was tracked to a residence in the 4200 block south Bonham. Mattie Michelle Eastland WF 25, Matthew Gonzalez HM 27, and Jesse David Carrillo HM 36, were inside of the residence. The IPad that was stolen in the auto burglary was recovered from the residence. Officers could see other items in plain view that appeared to have been stolen, but they were denied consent to check. A search warrant was written for the residence and several items of stolen property were recovered. Items included laptops, purses, backpacks, credit/debit cards, a drone, and other electronic items taken from at least nine auto burglaries.

These auto burglaries were reported in the 3400 block of Reeder, the 3300 block of Burruss, the 3400 block of Brennan Boulevard, the 3400 block of Cinderella, the 7700 block of White Plains, and the 3200 block of south Lipscomb. Officers also found several items of drug paraphernalia in the residence.

Eastland and Gonzalez were arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Carrillo had a warrant out of Deaf Smith County for Child Neglect. All three subjects were booked into the Randall County Jail on these charges.

No arrests were made in connection with the stolen property and the investigation is ongoing."
