West Texas A&M University has announced the resignation of a key football official.
According to WT, head football coach Hunter Hughes has announced the resignation of coordinator Ryan McDonough. McDonough was the offensive coordinator for WTAMU during the 6-5 season this year.
"I am extremely proud of what Ryan brought to the program on and off the field," Hughes said in a prepared statement. "I thank him for his commitment to West Texas A&M during his tenure here. I have great respect for the reason for his resignation, which is to spend more time with his family and begin a life outside of football."
No reason for the resignation was given in information released to the public. The search for a replacement is underway.
