The head softball coach for West Texas A&M University has resigned, according to university officials.
Kevin Blaskowski, the university's head softball coach, has tendered his resignation to the school. According to Blaskowski's resignation statement, the coach resigned to pursue a "business opportunity."
"I am resigning to pursue a business opportunity," Blaskowski said. "I would like to thank all of my current and former players for their dedication to the program, and all of the amazing fans and supporters of Buff nation for their years of support."
Associate head coach Candance Abrams is now taking over the day-to-day duties of the softball program, following Blaskowski's resignation.
Blaskowski leaves the WTAMU softball program after 13 years of service.
