A 9-year-old child has been hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle this week.
On November 7th, at 5:46PM, Amarillo Police officers were dispatched to the report of a motor vehicle striking a pedestrian in the 5300 block of East Amarillo Boulevard. A 9-year-old male was crossing Amarillo Boulevard from south to north, not at a crosswalk. The juvenile was struck by a Dodge Ram truck, driven by a 71-year-old.
The juvenile was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver was uninjured.
This incident remains under investigation.
