Potter County Commissioners will recognize the resignation of one local judge next week.
On Tuesday, November 13th, Commissioners will recognize the resignation of Judge Pamela Sirmon. Sirmon, a Republican, is resigning from her Potter County Court at Law #2 bench, after being elected to the 320th District Court bench earlier this month. Sirmon won election unopposed, after topping criminal defense attorney Steven Michael Denny in the May 22nd Republican primary election.
Sirmon will be replaced in January by Matt Hand, a Republican who won the race to replace her. It is unclear whether Hand will be appointed to fulfill the remainder of Sirmon’s 2018 term.
The meeting will begin at 9AM on November 13th in Room 106 of the Potter County Courthouse (500 South Fillmore).
