Lots of local students now have degrees, following graduations held by Amarillo College and West Texas A&M University this weekend.
On Friday and Saturday, AC and WT held graduations, with Dr. Russell Lowery-Hart handing out diplomas at Amarillo College and Dr. Walter Wendler doing the honors at West Texas A&M University. Students graduated in a number of subjects, as parents and families from across the nation flocked to the area to wish their students well.
At Amarillo College, over 900 students were eligible to graduate this weekend, while a series of graduations were held at WTAMU. There is no word on how many total attendees visited the Amarillo Civic Center and the First United Bank Center in Canyon for the graduations.
