The Amarillo College Board of Regents is considering giving the final approval on the hiring and base salary of the school's new dean of technical education.
On Tuesday night, the Board of Regents will vote on whether to approve hiring Michael Kitten as the new dean of technical education. Kitten, a former non-voting member of the Board of Regents, was named to the spot by AC president Dr. Russell Lowery-Hart and now faces final approval from the Board.
If hired, Kitten will receive a base salary of $97,000 per year.
Also on Tuesday, the Board will consider also consider signing off on the sale of a property at 3rd Avenue and Harrison. The deal is for $260,000 and will be awarded to Reinbold, Inc.
The meeting will be held in the Palo Duro Room of the College Union Building at the Washington Street Campus (2201 S. Washington). The meeting will begin at 6:45pm.
