Amarillo College may soon be offering a new Associate's Degree.
On Tuesday, the Amarillo College Board of Regents will consider approving the offering of the Environmental Science, A.S. degree. The degree will be a sixty credit hour degree that will transfer to allow students to seek Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. degree in the future.
If approved by the Board of Regents, Amarillo College will submit a Certification Form for a New Academic Associate Degree Program to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
Also, on Tuesday, regents will consider purchasing furnishings for the Amarillo College Community Link facility and will consider signing off on a memorandum of understanding between the City of Amarillo, the Amarillo Police Department and Amarillo College.
The Board will meet on Tuesday, April 24th, in the Palo Duro Room of the College Union Building on the Washington Street Campus (2201 South Washington). The meeting will begin at 6:45pm.
