President Donald Trump has endorsed three statewide Texas officials who are facing primary challengers on March 6th.
In a tweet posted on Tuesday, Trump asked voters in Texas to re-elect Senator Ted Cruz, Governor Greg Abbott and Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick. Trump said that the candidates are helping him "Make America Great Again."
Additionally, Trump endorsed Attorney General Ken Paxton for re-election. Paxton is not facing a Republican challenger and will oppose the Democratic Party's presumptive nominee, Justin Nelson.
The endorsement leaves three non-judicial statewide races without endorsements by President Trump. The President has not yet offered any type of endorsement in the races for Land Commissioner, Agriculture Commissioner or Railroad Commissioner. However, Trump's son, Donald Trump, Jr., endorsed Land Commissioner George P. Bush for re-election last month.
Voters will decide all of these races on March 6th.
