Two donors bankrolled Amarillo Matters as the group raked in $20,000 in their campaign to re-elect three local incumbents.
According to a report filed with the Texas Ethics Commission, Amarillo Matters reported $20,000 in donations during January with $10,000 coming from Bill Gilliland and $10,000 coming from Blaine D. Roberts. The two donors accounted for all of the committee's fundraising in January.
On the spending front, the group spent $4,000 with Norfleet Strategies, LLC for consulting. Expenses were also made to Canyon's Short Eared Dog Photography and The Gober Group. Amarillo Matters also has a few hundred dollars in unpaid expenses, either to Facebook or Instagram.
None of the group's expenses were made to Amarillo vendors or businesses.
The majority of the group's spending benefited incumbents Walter T. "Four" Price IV and Senator Kelton G. Seliger as they seek re-election in the March 6th Republican primary.
