A PAC representing Texas cattle raisers has announced its support for Senator Kel Seliger's re-election bid.
Seliger announced on Tuesday that the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association PAC chose to support him for re-election. The Senator reacted positively to the endorsement, calling the group "a strong advocate for hard working families in the cattle industry."
The group's endorsement of Seliger comes the same week that Seliger's top primary opponents, Amarillo restaurant owner Victor Leal and former Midland mayor Mike Canon, received the endorsement of the Amarillo Taxpayers PAC. This week's endorsements are just a few of the many that have been delivered this election season.
Voters will decide the primary race for the seat on March 6th. A runoff will be held on May 22nd, if necessary. The winner of the Republican Party's nomination will face Libertarian Jack Westbrook in November.
