Governor Greg Abbott met with three ambassadors this week to discuss the economy of Texas and the potential for increased economic ties to foreign nations.
On Monday, Governor Abbott met with David O’Sullivan, the European Union ambassador to the United States. Abbott and O'Sullivan discussed Texas' economic ties to the European Union and discussed trade, energy and technology, among other economic issues. O'Sullivan met Abbott as part of his trip to Austin to represent Europe at the South by Southwest festival.
Also, on Tuesday, Abbott met with Henne Schuwer, United States Ambassador from the Netherlands, and Danish Ambassador Lars Lose. In both meetings, Abbott talked with the ambassadors about energy, agriculture and economic issues.
