A group of concerned Amarillo residents held a prayer rally in downtown Amarillo on Sunday to pray for rain.
On Sunday, the Amarillo Prayer Force held a prayer rally in downtown Amarillo in which a large group of residents prayed for rain. Photos appear to show at least one hundred people at the steps of Amarillo City Hall praying for rain as wildfires raged in the Texas Panhandle. Speakers and musicians took to the steps of the City Hall to call for rain.
In addition to those in attendance, Mayor Ginger Nelson was on-hand and took photos of the gathering, representing the City of Amarillo.
