Benton Wins Third Term on Randall Commission

Mark C. Benton is headed back to the Randall County Commission for another term.

Benton won Tuesday's Republican primary for the Randall County Commissioner Precinct 2 race. Benton, a contractor, won 2,911 votes, or 54 percent. His only challenger, police captain Tam Boatler, won 46 percent of the vote.

Because there are no Democrats or third-party candidates filed to run in November's general election, Benton will likely begin his third term in 2019.
