Congressman Beto O'Rourke is coming back to Amarillo for the first time since winning the Democratic Party's nomination for the U.S. Senate.
It was announced on Wednesday that O'Rourke, the Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Republican Ted Cruz, will be in Amarillo for a town hall on Sunday, May 13th. O'Rourke's event will allow interested voters to ask the El Paso Democrat questions regarding what he plans to do, if elected in November.
This event will be the fourth time that O'Rourke has held a meet and greet type event in Amarillo since he announced his candidacy for the U.S. Senate in April of 2017. O'Rourke is facing the Republican Cruz and Libertarian venture capitalist Neal Dikeman in the November general election.
The event will be held at 3941 North Western on May 13th, according to available information. The evening's events will begin at 7:30pm.
