"The Speech and Hearing Clinic at West Texas A&M University will host Buff Up Your Speech, a summer therapy program, in three different sessions beginning on June 14, June 28 and July 19.
Each program lasts two weeks and is designed for children ages 3-10 with disorders relating to speech, language, fluency and others associated with communication.
“Buff Up Your Speech Summer Program empowers students with speech and language disorders to become better communicators,” Traci Fredman, instructor of communication disorders, said. “Our campers attend sessions for two weeks to address their specific deficits. Attending camps for two weeks in the summer helps the students learn and implement the skills they are learning.”
The clinic will include individual and group instruction in the Virgil Henson Activities Center from 9:30 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday. Student clinicians are supervised by experienced faculty, who are state licensed and nationally certified.
