WT Speech and Hearing Clinic to Begin Summer Sessions

West Texas A&M University is opening its Speech and Hearing Clinic sessions for the sixth annual Buff Up Your Speech 2019 camps beginning June 10 at the Harrington Academic Hall – WTAMU Amarillo Center, Suite 120.

The intensive two-week camps are offered in three sessions that focus on articulation, social, language and fluency disorders. In an effort to avoid losing valuable instructional time, the camps offer opportunities to continue making gains in speech, language and pre-academic skills to children during the months when most educational programs are closed.

Graduate students provide the intervention for the campus and are supervised by licensed speech-language pathologists. The camps are offered to children ages 3-10.

In addition to improving speech, sessions provide group support, help children connect with others and improve communication confidence. Sessions are from 9:30 a.m. - noon Monday - Thursday. The first is June 10 - 20, second is July 8 – 18 and third is July 22 – Aug. 1.

Cost of tuition is $95 for each participant. For more information or to register, please visit the Buff Up Your Speech 2019 webpage, call 806-651-5101 or email wtclinic@wtamu.edu.
