Overstreet Wins Endorsements from Top Officials

Wade Overstreet is raking in endorsements in his race for Potter County Court at Law #2.

Overstreet, a Republican who is currently in a runoff for the seat being vacated by Judge Pamela Sirmon, announced several endorsements by top county officials over the past week. Over the past two weeks, Overstreet reported winning endorsements of Potter County Commissioners Leon Church and Alphonso Vaughn. Overstreet also picked up the support of Potter County Constable Georgia Estrada. Both Vaughn and Estrada currently hold office as Democrats.

The Potter County prosecutor also announced an endorsement from Judge Arthur Ware last week. Ware previously served as Potter County Judge, before leaving office in 2015. Ware was succeeded by Nancy Tanner.

Meanwhile, Overstreet's runoff rival, Matthew Hand, announced the support of several Amarillo attorneys for his campaign.

Both candidates will meet in the Republican runoff for Potter County Court at Law #2 on Tuesday, May 22nd. The winner of the runoff will likely not face an opponent in November.
