Officials from the Amarillo Police Department reported this week that two people were taken to an area hospital with minor injuries following a shooting on Thursday.
On Thursday morning, officers were dispatched to the 800 block of North Washington on the report of shots fired. When they arrived, officers found shell casings on the ground. Due to the number of shell casings on the ground, officers went to a local hospital to check for gunshot wound victims. Two citizens were at the hospital, taken there by private vehicles, with minor gunshot wounds. Officers also found three vehicles and one house damaged by the shooting.
There are no suspects at this time. This incident is being investigated by the Amarillo Police Department Detective Division.
