Trent Rosser's Message for Jon Mark Beilue

An article in the Amarillo Globe-News yesterday announced the retirement of Jon Mark Beilue. After 37 years, Mr. Beilue is retiring. He started out writing sports stories and eventually moved to a columnist position. Throughout the years, Jon Mark Beilue has made us laugh, cry, and ponder issues. I, personally, do not agree with some of the articles that he has written in the past. Then again, there are some that I agreed with wholeheartedly. There were also some that made me curse and some that made me ponder my own opinions.

I would like to personally thank Jon Mark Beilue, for not only his hard work over the years, but also for the dedication that he has shown this city. Again, we might be on different sides of the fence on a lot of issues, but, I do respect him and the work that he has done as a columnist. So, Jon Mark Beilue, my hat is off to you. A sincere thank you for a job well done.
