'Beto Fever' Comes to Downtown Amarillo

Beto O'Rourke was back in Amarillo on Tuesday.

O'Rourke, an El Paso Democrat who is running for the U.S. Senate, appeared at the Beers for Beto fundraiser at the Six Car Pub in downtown Amarillo on Tuesday night. During the event, O'Rourke signed autographs, spoke about policy issues, and snapped pictures with supporters. This is the first public fundraiser O'Rourke has had in Amarillo, as supporters spent at least $25 a person to attend.

Tuesday's appearance marked another appearance by the El Paso Democrat in the Amarillo area. O'Rourke has visited the Amarillo area several times for town halls and for an appearance at the Independence Day celebration in Canyon in 2017.

O'Rourke will face incumbent Republican Ted Cruz and Libertarian candidate Neal Dikeman in November.
