Crews from the Amarillo Fire Department and Amarillo Police Department will be on hand to welcome students back to school on Wednesday.
According to information released by both department, crews will be on hand to promote education and community during the first day of school for Amarillo Independent School District students on Wednesday. At each setup, staff from either department will present to greet students and meet the people they serve in the community.
AFD officials say that crews will be stationed at least sixteen campuses in Amarillo. APD has not released a number of campuses expected to host officers.
