Congressman Beto O'Rourke will be going on the air in all twenty of Texas' media markets, according to information released by the campaign.
This week, O'Rourke's campaign announced through a fundraising letter that it has placed a $1.27 million ad buy in all twenty of Texas' media markets. The ad buy, which comes following a major fundraising push by the El Paso Democrat, will provide television spots that the O'Rourke campaign has said will be "positive" in message.
The ad buy comes following an ad buy by Republican Senator Ted Cruz's campaign, which put ads in several media markets, including in Lubbock. Cruz's campaign launched a positive ad and three negative ads against O'Rourke during the buy.
There is no word yet on whether Libertarian Neal Dikeman's campaign is planning a television ad buy in the weeks leading up to the campaign.
