President Trump is coming to Texas.
This week, President Donald Trump announced on Twitter that he is planning a campaign stop in Texas. Trump said the Ted Cruz campaign is currently seeking a venue for the rally, as Trump plans to visit the Lone Star State to campaign for Cruz's re-election bid.
"I will be doing a major rally for Senator Ted Cruz in October," Trump said in the tweet. "I’m picking the biggest stadium in Texas we can find. As you know, Ted has my complete and total Endorsement."
Trump also went on to call Cruz's Democratic challenger, El Paso Congressman Beto O'Rourke, a "disaster" on issues such as veterans and the Second Amendment.
It is not clear where the event is being planned or when the event will be held. Cruz is facing O'Rourke and Libertarian Neal Dikeman in the November general election.
