An Amarillo boxer laid the smack down on Saturday.
On Saturday, Abel Navarette defeated Corpus Christi native David Waters in a grueling boxing battle. Navarette, of Amarillo, improved to 4-0 with the win over the MMA-based Waters. Navarette was able to stop the fight in the first round, with the referee stopping the fight at the Azteca Music Hall.
Additionally, the undefeated Abel Mendoza kept his record intact, and Isaac Luna also won a victory during other fights on the card. Around 3,000 attended the fight, according to Fight News.
