City Council to Consider Board Appointments

A handful of board appointments will be on the agenda when the Amarillo City Council meets for the first time in 2019.

On Tuesday, the Amarillo City Council will meet in the Council Chambers of City Hall (801 South Buchanan) at noon. During that meeting, several board appointments will be on the agenda, including an appointment to the Town Square Public Improvement District Board. Perry Williams resignation on the board triggered the vacancy. Councilmembers will also consider signing off on the reappointments of Sally Jennings and David Hurt to the Amarillo Civil Service Commission.

Also, during a work session, the City Council will discuss the Thompson Park pool. The pool’s closure was recently announced by the City of Amarillo, and has drawn debate from the community.
