Amarillo Pioneer Candidate Forum Set for February

The Amarillo Pioneer’s annual candidate forum will return this February.

On Tuesday, February 11, the Pioneer will host its fourth candidate forum at the American Legion Post 54 in Downtown Amarillo (617 SW 7th) to provide candidates their chance to meet with voters and discuss the big issues on the minds of Amarillo residents. Candidates running for U.S. Senator, U.S. House of Representatives District 13, Railroad Commissioner, and all local offices on the ballot in 2020 have been invited to participate. Nearly the entire field of candidates running for U.S. House District 13 has confirmed attendance at the time of this writing, as have candidates for a variety of statewide and local offices.

Candidates will take the stage at 6:30PM on February 11th and voters will have the opportunity to submit written questions for the moderators to ask candidates following introductions. Campaigns will also have tables set up after for candidates to mingle with voters. Additional details will be shared closer to the event.

Thanks to the American Legion Post 54 and Commander Josh Tillerson for hosting us again this year!
