Amarillo City Council members will vote on raising after school program fees at the Warford Center next week.
On Tuesday, the Amarillo City Council will consider voting for approval of a fee increase for after school program fees at the Warford Activity Center in North Amarillo. The fee increase would see after school program costs go from $20 to $170 per month for members or from $30 to $190 per month for non-members. A slew of other fees will also be added, ranging from $10 to $90 each. A memo from City staff to the City Council says the proposed ordinance would revise the fee structure to match “fees charged by other service providers.”
Approval of that ordinance would also create language allowing members to add additional child memberships to existing memberships.
Also, during the meeting, the City Council will vote on the purchase of new water meters and more.
The meeting will begin at 1PM in the Council Chambers of Amarillo City Hall (601 South Buchanan). Public comment will be held at noon.
