Amarillo-based playwright King Hill received a special honor in the mail this week from Rep. Four Price’s office.
According to Hill, this week, he received a paper in the mail from Price’s office, which contained a House Resolution signed by Price and House Speaker Dennis Bonnen congratulating him on his recent production of Remember the Alamo. The resolution honoring Hill, HR 965 by Price, was unanimously adopted by the Texas House on April 12th.
The honor is just one of many for Hill, who has become well-known as one of the Amarillo art community’s key figures. Hill’s latest production of Remember the Alamo featured a public performance at the Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts in January, with local celebrities, musicians, artists, actors, and dancers portraying the heroes of the Alamo.
