Two people were arrested this week during an investigation into possible stolen copper wire, APD says.
According to Amarillo Police, on July 29th, officers saw a possibly stolen vehicle and copper wire in the 3600 block of Neuches in the back of a vehicle. Officers decided to stop and talk to someone about the wire. The truck was not reported stolen, but officers believed it to show signs that it could have been stolen.
Authorities say the wiring in the truck had been stolen from a local business. The home owner then gave permission to authorities to search the residence. Officers located four guns, copper wire, property from auto burglaries and thefts in Amarillo and over five grams of meth, according to APD.
Jason Sisneros, 17, was arrested on the drug charges and booked into the Potter County Jail. Christopher Carr, 26, was arrested on Capias warrants and was taken to Municipal Court.
APD reports this investigation is still ongoing.
