John Rich, an Amarillo native and one half of country music’s popular Big & Rich duo, announced on Monday that he will be donating $50,000 in proceeds from the release of a recent song to Folds of Honor.
On Fox News’ “The Five,” Rich said he plans to donate the $50,000 in earnings from his new song “Shut Up About Politics” to Folds of Honor. The organization provides scholarships to the children and spouses of fallen or disabled service members.
Rich also asked his fans to download the song, which costs 99 cents, in hopes of being able to double the donation to Folds of Honor in the future.
