Amarillo Animal Management and Welfare director Dr. Kati Wrubel resigned this week.
According to reports, Wrubel tendered her resignation this week, which was effective on Monday, October 12. The City of Amarillo later issued a statement confirming Wrubel’s departure from the department, which thanked her for her service. Additionally, the statement went on to say the process for selecting Wrubel’s replacement is underway.
Wrubel joined Animal Management and Welfare in the summer of 2019, replacing former department director Richard Havens.
