Two cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus have been confirmed in Lubbock.
According to a press conference featuring medical officials and Lubbock Mayor Dan Pope on Tuesday, it was announced that two people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Lubbock. One person is a resident of Lubbock County and the other is a resident of Hockley County. Both cases are travel related and are not related to one another. Neither of the two individuals in question were hospitalized.
Limited details were provided Tuesday. A press conference is being held today to further update media members on these cases.
