Texas A&M Chancellor Tells Universities to Reopen in Fall

Texas A&M Chancellor John Sharp has informed university officials that all 11 Texas A&M campuses will reopen for the fall semester, according to the Texas Tribune.

The Tribune reported this week that Sharp informed university presidents at all 11 universities of their plans to reopen for the fall semester. Sharp also told university officials to be prepared for the start of college sports in the fall semester, the publication reported.

Included within the Texas A&M System is West Texas A&M University, located in Canyon. The campus has currently moved most of its spring semester classes online due to the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing measures.
