U.S. House District 13 candidate Ronny Jackson unveiled a list of his campaign’s district leadership team on Wednesday.
In the announcement, Jackson touted support from individuals from various backgrounds and industries from across the district. In the Amarillo area, Jackson notably touted support from former Amarillo Mayor Jerry Hodge, former Randall County Commissioner Craig Gualtiere, and former Potter County Republican Party chair Bill Bandy, among others.
“Ronny Jackson is a trusted confidant of President Trump, a decorated Navy veteran and a man of impeccable character who has proven his commitment to fight for our conservative Texas values here in the 13th congressional district,” Hodge said of Jackson in a prepared statement released by the campaign.
Jackson is currently locked in a heated runoff battle against former lobbyist Josh Winegarner to decide who will be the Republican nominee in the race to replace retiring U.S. Rep. Mac Thornberry (R-Clarendon). The winner of the primary will face Democrat Gus Trujillo and Libertarian Jack B. Westbrook in November.
