Amarillo Police are releasing more information after skeletal remains were found at Amarillo Lake.
According to APD, on May 5, officers with the APD Homicide Unit responded to a call of possible skeletal remains at Amarillo Lake. Officers recovered an adult human skull at the location, which appeared to have been there less than a year. Officers searched the surrounding area for evidence, but did not locate additional remains or signs of criminal activity.
The evidence collected at the location will be sent for forensic testing.
