Parks and recreation facilities in Amarillo will reopen later this weekend.
According to the City of Amarillo, splash pads, playgrounds, basketball courts, and volleyball courts will reopen beginning Saturday under guidelines provided by Gov. Greg Abbott. Restrooms at Parks and Recreation facilities will not be reopened at this time.
Participants and patrons are encouraged to follow public health recommendations from the federal and state government, including social distancing and the wearing of masks. Officials says participants use Parks and Recreation facilities and amenities at their own risk.
