Arrest Made in 2010 Death of Local Businessman

Amarillo Police have announced that an arrest has been made in the 2010 murder of Amarillo businessman Thomas Ray Vaughan.

According to APD, on Friday, June 26, detectives with APD were able to get a murder warrant for Bobbie Jo Fruge, a 54-year-old female, in the homicide case of Vaughan. On July 2, Fruge was arrested in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and booked into the Beauregard Parish Jail. The investigation into this case remains ongoing.

Detectives have been investigating the 2010 death of Vaughan for nearly a decade, with the crime first being reported by authorities on July 29, 2010, according to the APD release.
