Jackson Leading Winegarner in Congressional Fundraising Race

Retired Navy Real Admiral and former Physician to the President Ronny Jackson is leading his opponent in funds raised in the hotly contested Republican primary runoff in U.S. House District 13.

According to filings reported with the Federal Election Commission this week, Jackson’s campaign has brought in $492,346.81 since April 1, bringing his total contributions of the campaign to $904,476.36 through June 24. Jackson’s campaign also reported just over $207,000 on-hand with zero debts owed.

Former lobbyist Josh Winegarner trailed Jackson by a large margin in the fundraising race, reporting $290,116.62 in contributions since April. Overall, Winegarner has raised just over $1.07 million for his campaign since his first financial filing and reported just over $170,000 in the bank with no debt.

Early voting in this Republican primary runoff is ongoing and runs until July 10. Election Day is July 14.
